Apps that can help you go Paperless

When I talk about going paperless, I usually focus on companies and small businesses. Applications like sign tech were made for the businessman, or woman. But what about the stay at home mums, or dads, and the high school students? Luckily there are simple small solutions for going paperless as an individual.

Note Taking Apps

The notepad-based apps for both iOS and android devices are very helpful for people who are very busy, and like to take their iPads or iPhones everywhere. At work or at home, writing small notes beats the sticky pads any day, and scraps of sheets of papers lying around the house. Some free note-taking apps for you to take note of haha, geddit?

Evernote

This is must have for all devices. It supports android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows, and it’s free. You could pay for the premium accounts if you’re not satisfied with the free space that you get but unless you’re a company owner most likely you need to go past the allotted amount of data given to you for free. Evernote helps you take notes, save them, tag them with a location, create and organize notebooks, and share them anywhere you are and on any device you happen to have on you. It enables syncing across all platforms. It’s also great for letting you capture, scan, and save objects in real life, clip web pages you browse, and share them with whoever you want, your friends, your colleagues or peers in school. Its very practical for anyone who wishes to reduce the amount of paper use in their lives, or go completely paperless.

Springpad

This app is available for both android and iOS devices, this is more of a note-organizing app. You set up a few basic sections that you want your notes to go into and the app virtually does the rest for you. It guesses what it is you’ve taken from the web, taken pictures of, or uploaded and sorts it out for you without your help, even adding products you save off the web to a wish list and alerting you when the price drops. This is a great app for every one who supports paperless technology.

Papyrus

This is a handwriting note-taking app for those who miss the simplicity of writing on paper but not the hassle of it. You can use your finger, pen or stylus to wrote your notes and then them across your android devices and supports cloud services, best of all, it is free. This is paper, without the actual paper, but rather the advancements of technology added to it.

Reminders

The reminder app for apple’s products such as the macbook, iPhone, iPad, iPod and even the iMac. It’s absolutely helpful because it’s stacked with simple usable features that go much further than just a paper note on a corkboard. With alarms for each reminder, you can select the level of importance. Tell the app how many days before an even do you want to be reminded of it? And best of all, its free.
