Dubai’s Paperless Strategy
We at SignTech paperless forms are always focused on saving the planet and there’s nothing we love more than seeing other places, companies, countries adopt strategies that follow the same vision.
We’re at the Gitex 2018 Tech exhibition and we’re surrounded by so many innovative ideas that are at the forefront of technology that we cannot help but be excited to be a part of it. The exhibition is being held in Dubai and one interesting thing that we note is that the country is making strides in eco-friendly initiatives, most particularly and recently is the paperless initiative called “Dubai Paperless Strategy”.
According to the Khaleej Times:
“The new strategy falls in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a fully-fledged smart city.
"What we are witnessing today is another milestone in Dubai's journey towards fully embracing smart technology," said Sheikh Hamdan. "The Dubai Paperless Strategy embodies our leadership's vision for a smart government that embraces advanced technologies to build a perfectly integrated paperless government framework, and an administration that sets solid plans and strategies to secure people's happiness and develop their communities to meet the requirements of the cities of the future."
"After 2021, no employee or customer of the Government of Dubai will need to print any paper document," Sheikh Hamdan noted. "This reflects our holistic vision for our role as human beings, not only towards Dubai, but towards the world as a whole. The Dubai Paperless Strategy will eliminate over one billion papers annually used today in Dubai government transactions."”
In the next few months with our introduction to the Dubai market SignTech aims to play a huge role in Dubai’s paperless strategy helping them become a fully paperless country by the year 2020.
SignTech paperless forms has the same vision for Nigeria, ever since our launch in Lagos earlier this year we’ve made small strides in introducing paperless strategies to Nigerian businesses and places of work. Our aim is to make paperless business practices the norm- think no worker or customer ever having to print out sheets of paper again.
