Everyday Activities that Harm the Planet

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit; and most of us know how hard it is to break a bad one. But what if you didn’t even know it was a bad one in the first place? There are so many everyday “normal” things-turned-habits that we do that have a huge negative impact on this planet. Granted, it may be really hard to break some of these habits; but, I want to share them on this paperless blog.

The Doorway to the Underworld

I realize the title of this blog post sounds like something out of a scary movie, something apocalyptic, perhaps. Don’t worry I’m not here to spook you out. However, I am saying the truth. *cue shivers*

Scientists have discovered an actual mouth of hell, in Siberia. Okay, okay, maybe the name is a tad bit dramatic. But, it is called “doorway to the underworld” amongst its local Yakutianians in Siberia. It is identified as such because it's a deep pit of methane gas.. like really, really deep.

Oceans Are Warming 13% Faster Than We Thought

I have good news and bad news.

I’m going to start off with the good news. We’re getting better at measuring the changing temperature of the ocean. Okay, maybe, it’s not as exciting a news as, say, the food you ordered an hour ago just arrived, but, it’s good news, nevertheless.

It means scientists will be able to better measure the rate at which sea temperatures are rising which would help in the overall process of understanding the effects of global warming. So hey, it is good news.

Everyday Should be Earth Day

Earth day began in 1970 in the United States as a day marked to emphasize the need to protect the planet and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly. It is now globally recognized and celebrated. It’s a day set aside for various people to perform eco-friendly deeds all in the efforts to protect the environment.

At the Heart of the Matter

Here are some tips I found for a healthy heart from the National Health Service UK. I figured it would be a good idea to share this on this paperless blog, and take a little break from talking about paperless forms and paperless business forms.  It should be of utmost importance to us to protect what’s keeping us alive.

  1.  Get active:

Getting – and staying – active can reduce your risk of developing heart disease. It can also be a great mood booster and stress buster.
