You Win Some, You win Some

Did you know that the Association for Information and Image Managed found most (92%) companies are interested is going paperless? Bet you didn’t know that little tidbit. Okay, I didn’t either until I was preparing for this article. This information is rather interesting and exciting for a pro-paperless blogger such as myself. More people are becoming aware of the numerous benefits that a business experiences when they decide to convert their regular, outdated (if you ask me) business forms to paperless business forms. Moreover, more businesses are conscious of the accompanying perks for its clientele/customers, as well.

Going paperless is the winning side, if I do say so myself. And, here are just three reasons why more and more businesses have taken the route of going paperless. And, why you should consider it too.

Firstly for its information security: Some companies still cite “security reasons” as a reason not to go paperless due to hacking, data leaks and cyber-attacks. Although these fears are not unfounded, there are way more reasons why digital process trump paper processes. For one, you can back up the data on different cloud software’s. Have you ever heard of backing up information on paper? Nope, didn’t think so. And being able to back up ensures that your information is available for a long time, regardless of device used.  Also, paperless forms can be protected and encrypted in ways paper documents cannot be. And that is a huge bonus of being paperless. I mean, who doesn’t value security?

Second, accessibility: You waste so much valuable time searching for paper documents on your office desks or cabinets, or in your home office. Wouldn’t you rather have it at the touch of a button and in so little time on computer/mobile files? And, these documents can be shared to multiple individuals in various departments, and is not limited by time and space. The possibilities without paper are endless. "This ease of access greatly improves efficiency in a variety of contexts, such as approval workflows, and mobile, tablet or offline access translates into speed and agility. Your competitors are only going to get faster, and the agility that a paperless process gives you is vital to remaining competitive."

Thirdly, real-time visibility: With paperless solutions, you can literally monitor your business operations in real time! "Using digital instead of paper workflows allows management to monitor your business and key collaborations in real time and with a view into analyzing bottlenecks to improve them and hence improve results. This makes it easier to keep tasks on track and to identify problems and opportunities for improvement," said Candito.
